Otakon 2012 Costume Test: Class-C Uniform

Description

Although one of the most important things about our costume test was the opportunity for :iconsilent-assassinxii: and I to take photos together wearing our uniforms, we also took a good number of solo shots and I used a number of these to experiment with different angles.

Almost every photo ever taken of me in costume from a convention or other event was a front view. There aren't many photos of the side or back of the outfit when I'm actually wearing it and I wanted to see how well the uniform filled out from these angles.

Also, some people I know have been begging me to take more photos with my service cap on. I didn't realize it, but I've been spending a lot of time bringing my hat to conventions and then simply not wearing it. Instead, when I'd get asked for photos, I'd wind up holding the cap and using it to cover my cell phone holster instead.

That's getting repetitive and I need to change it, but for now, I'll just take the advice and try a few more photos with the hat on. I used to think that it didn't look good on my head somehow, but it seems all I needed to do was pull the visor down a little bit more.

Finally, I also decided to bring my parade gloves back out for this photo shoot. I originally added them to the uniform when I wore it to Anime Weekend Atlanta 2011, for use at the Imperial Mecha Pilots' Ball on Friday night but I never wore them again after that largely because they made it almost impossible to operate a cell phone or a camera. However, they really help emphasize the uniform's elegant, "military" appearance.
